Great Show!

This a quality podcast. I’ve got my first turkey tags in my pocket this year. This show is helpful for planning my first turkey hunt and the stories are getting me super pumped to see some gobblers. Thanks guys!

Great Show!

My favorite episode is with Bob Erickson oct 22 2017. I learned more about the History of Turkey and Turkey Restoration in this one episode then from several books I’ve read. Hearing the history from guys who were there boots on the ground doing what did for the love of Turkey is just awesome. We need to get more from these guys before they are gone. The dedication and love for what they were doing is amazing to hear first hand.

Important for the new turkey addict

I got my first tom last spring - and I'm hooked. It was exhilarating and everything I could've imagined. I recognize there is a good bit of luck in turkey hunting, but every year going forward, I want to add new tools to my arsenal. This podcast helps broaden my views and learn from the experiences of others. As hunters, we have a responsibility to respect and understand the wildlife we chase. I love the focus of The Strut Zone on these two critical elements of being an ethical and competent outdoorsman. You guys have picked great celebrity-ish guests (Steve Rinella & others from the MeatEater gang), conservationists (AJ DeRosa), and specialists from a ton of different fields. As a painter, I was absolutely locked in on the Ryan Kirby podcast. Man, so many great podcasts. I might add that I'd love to hear another episode on preparation of turkey meat like Scott Leysath's episode - maybe a Hank Shaw episode? I live in the suburbs of Chicago now, so listening to NWTF helps take me back to that experience and away from the hustle and bustle! Thanks folks, and keep it up!
