055: Racial Reconciliation and Ministry with Mike Haynes (The Student Ministry Podcast)

055: Racial Reconciliation and Ministry with Mike Haynes (The Student Ministry Podcast)

Episode 55 of The Student Ministry Podcast brings back Mike Haynes to talk about racial reconciliation. While racism has been a thing for a long time, recent events have increased our awareness of it. So how do we talk about it with our students? And how do we lead and shepherd them well through this? Mike speaks about his own experiences as an African American but also shares some amazing wisdom on how to guide students through all of this. As a youth worker, you already believe in what God can do through the next generation. Mike guides us in how we can help teenagers tap into their God-given potential to change the world.

052: Non-Traditional Student Ministry with Ansley Higginbotham (The Student Ministry Podcast)

052: Non-Traditional Student Ministry with Ansley Higginbotham (The Student Ministry Podcast)

Episode 52 of The Student Ministry Podcast features Ansley Higginbotham, who served in traditional ministry settings for a number of years but is currently serving from home. As a stay-at-home mom, she has been writing blogs, speaking at youth events, writing curriculum, and coaching other youth workers. She also has a huge heart for other women in ministry. For those of you who are not currently serving at a church, we pray this conversation will inspire you to think outside of the box for ministry opportunities. For those who are serving at a church, maybe this will give you some ideas of additional ways to serve. Whatever state you are currently in, we pray that Ansley's story will encourage you in your own ministry, and know that God is not done with you yet.

Auggment ,

Great conversation

This is a podcast from a pastor sitting and letting other youth pastors talk about where they have been. It’s great
To see how God is using all these pastors. Highly recommend listening every month

Great wisdom from people you might not have heard from

I really enjoy the interviews in this podcast. Steve does a great job highlighting folks that no one else is talking to. These guests often give awesome wisdom and insight from the trenches of ministry. Keep up the great conversations!

Great conversations with a greater purpose

Steve does a fantastic job of using the stories that individual youth workers tell, to tap into the greater narrative of how to beat reach students. The show is fun but weighty at the same time, and well worth your time.
