    Lawrence

    Lawrence

Lawrence is a an 8-piece band led by brother/sister duo Clyde and Gracie Lawrence. They hail from New York and most of the band members attended Brown University. This talented and fun band has recently announced their fourth studio album, Family Business. They are celebrating that release later this year with a 40 date international headlining tour kicking off in Summer 2024. From the recent Live Nation announcement: "Lawrence has captivated and built a huge audience of die-hard fans with a distinct sound rooted in classic artists like Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman and Aretha Franklin, spun together with a high-energy pop edge.  Their clever and brilliantly-crafted original songs are driven by Clyde’s keyboards, raspy voice, a rowdy horn section and Gracie’s vocals soaring on top.  A beloved live band, Lawrence brings a party to the stage: a fun, full-throttle experience full of musical fireworks." Check out links and videos for more information about the band at The Summerhill Gang website.

    Mac DeMarco

    Mac DeMarco

Mac DeMarco is a Canadian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He was born in Duncan, British Columbia and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. The 33-year old has been dubbed "the laid-back prince of indie rock" since his debut record in 2012. He is a creative innovator and is prolific in producing and releasing songs. DeMarco's latest release is a 199-song collection of ideas, riffs and songs called One Wayne G. Nadine Smith from Pitchfork writes, "While One Wayne G might look like a disposable afterthought, all unfinished drafts and near-identical file names, it’s hardly arbitrary or accidental." Check out the full review of the collection linked on The Summerhill Gang website.

    Tall Heights

    Tall Heights

Tall Heights is a duo hailing from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Coming together in 2009, Tim Harrington (singer/guitarist) and Paul Wright (singer/cellist) worked the Boston circuit for many years before releasing their major label debut in 2016. At that time, Spin magazine listed them as one of the "Five New Artists You Should Hear" and Paste included them in its "Best of What's Next" series. The latest album from Tall Heights, Juniors, is a nice mix of "arpeggiating acoustic guitars," "wistful falsetto harmonies," and "romantic orchestral swells." Check out the Atwood Magazine interview by Coco Rich for more accolades like that! And, go see Tall Heights on the road with Ben Folds this Summer.
