Most recently Ketamine infusions have been studied and used for the treatment of refractory depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain syndromes, and other conditions with success. How does it work? Ketamine works on the NMDA receptors within the brain. It causes an increase in the neuro transmitter Glutamate.
