EP 40 Paul Horschel
Fall 2020 Season finale of The Talent Tank! EP 40 won't disappoint with a character who's been referred to as the most mysterious man in Ultra4 and Offroad racing. Now that I know his story, I have no problem calling him the most inspirational human in our community. Current SCORE Baja1000 Unlimited 4wd Champion, driver of the #19 ULTRA4 Racing car, none other than Alaska's number one son, racing out of Park City, Utah today. The inspirational Paul Horschel, @paul_horschel. From his humble years growing up in frozen Alaska where resourcefulness wasn't just a noun, it was a way of life. How Paul made his trek to the Lower-48, and ultimately drilling for minerals in the far corners of our planet. Countries I can't pronounce, but are +4 syllables long with some "Y's" and "Z's" thrown in for good measure. To today, where Paul and his close knit crew are always in the podium discussion with his unique and bleeding edge designs. Be ready for him in February, he's got a score to settle at King of the Hammers.
EP 39 Dave Schneider
On this episode of The Talent Tank, one of the best things to come from west of the Cascades, the Sheldon Cooper of offroad tech, knowledge, and recollection. Dave "DSI" Schneider, @dsi4871 the driver of ULTRA4 Racing's #4871. Dave is no stranger to rock sports, competing, and participating all the way back in the infancy years pre-King of the Hammers. Having raced numerous series, classes, and won a lot, and then some. Though most days you can find Dave living breathing and hustling everything offroad at Trent Fabrication @trent_fabrication in Sparks, Nevada. Ensuring parts come and go, work is accomplished, and the customer is always served. You're sure to enjoy catching up with Dave and seeing what's its taken for them to build over 150 rock crawlers and offroad race cars.
EP 38 Pam Hall
Rarer than a unicorn; a female motorsports announcer, but wait there's more. She's also a veteran offroad racecar driver with 13+ years chasing dust. No way you say! Yes, Unicorns do exist! On this episode of The Talent Tank, we are so blessed to be graced with ULTRA4 Racing's newest face to the LIVE feed, the lovely and super talented Pam Hall, @mrspamhall. Crank it up, put on your American Flag Bikini, and break off the knob because Pam kills it on the behind the scenes pre-running, King of the Hammers photography, keeper of the KOH WiFi master password, course marking, visor down time, Rebelle Rally, and how she came to be Co-Host of the Ultra4 Live Feed play-by-play.
EP 37 Chip MacLaughlin
#ChipHappens Well it finally happened on The Talent Tank. We stepped in it fully, or it fully hit the fan. On this episode we moved this Texan, one of the funniest guys in ULTRA4 Racing from side chick to show pony. Chip MacLaughlin the driver of the # 4 Unlimited 4400 car of Rufus Racing @rufusracingtx did a cannonball into the tank, and we are so glad he did. From practical jokes, burning down trucks, running at the front of the pack, popping motors, with a heavy dose of philanthropy and figuring out what really matters when you are faced with the worst adversities in life. While we didn't talk about HOA's with Chip, he's well versed and hence this episodes "After the Checkered Flag". Enjoy!
EP 36 Levi Shirley
When you think about Dodge City, Kansas the fastest gunslingers to walk the west come to mind. The likes of Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and even Jesse James. Here in the modern era, competing for that title of the fastest in the history books hailing out of Dodge City is none other than ULTRA4 Racing's driver of the #81 Unlimited 4400 car Levi Shirley, @levishirley. Levi is one of the offroad endurance racing's second generation young guns, and remarkably for how young he is, has over a decade in rock sports. So dial it in and rip off the knob as we go deep on The Talent Tank with Levi discussing everything from prep, tech, sponsors, to the successes and failure that have him at the top of the 4400 game.
