#439 - Insecurities: Comparison in Youth Ministry

#439 - Insecurities: Comparison in Youth Ministry

In this episode, John & Linda talk about the ways we're tempted to compare ourselves with other youth workers. We compare the size of our youth groups, our personality with other youth workers, & even our Bible knowledge. How can we understand these issues on a deeper level and apply the truth of God's Word to assist us in this? All of this, and more, is discussed.

Great Resource! Must Listen!

The Local Youth Worker is one of the best resources out there for anyone who cares about discipling young people. Whether you’re a parent, youth leader, youth pastor or student you will benefit from the work of TLYW. Each episode brings a relevant and important topic that speaks directly to the issues and needs our families and young people need today. TLYW is Biblically based and always comes back to the truth of the Word of God. TLYW is oozing Gospel promises and will fill your heart with ways that we need to change and ways we can be comforted with this Gospel.

Beneficial for Parenting

I have 4 children ages 11 to 18, and I find “The Local Youth Worker” podcast to be relevant and beneficial for parenting middle and high school students. The topics discussed are rich in content and have challenged my thoughts and application of parenting my children, particularly topics on the types and uses of technology. This podcast has made me aware of the dangers and struggles facing teenagers. As a parent, I have benefited from these discussions, and consequently it has been good for my children.

John Perritt does a great job of facilitating discussion and it makes listening to the podcast enjoyable. This is my #1 podcast I listen to each week.

Thank you for your help for parents!

This podcast is such a valuable resource to us as parents shepherding children who are not yet teens. Grateful for RYM and John Perritt for your support in sharing the love of Jesus and how we can steward the future.
