#439 - Insecurities: Comparison in Youth Ministry
In this episode, John & Linda talk about the ways we're tempted to compare ourselves with other youth workers. We compare the size of our youth groups, our personality with other youth workers, & even our Bible knowledge. How can we understand these issues on a deeper level and apply the truth of God's Word to assist us in this? All of this, and more, is discussed.

Beneficial for Parenting
I have 4 children ages 11 to 18, and I find “The Local Youth Worker” podcast to be relevant and beneficial for parenting middle and high school students. The topics discussed are rich in content and have challenged my thoughts and application of parenting my children, particularly topics on the types and uses of technology. This podcast has made me aware of the dangers and struggles facing teenagers. As a parent, I have benefited from these discussions, and consequently it has been good for my children.
John Perritt does a great job of facilitating discussion and it makes listening to the podcast enjoyable. This is my #1 podcast I listen to each week.
Thank you for your help for parents!
This podcast is such a valuable resource to us as parents shepherding children who are not yet teens. Grateful for RYM and John Perritt for your support in sharing the love of Jesus and how we can steward the future.
