Two days after Christmas, 2011, Russ Faria came home from game night to find his wife, Betsy, dead. He was soon charged and convicted of her murder. But Russ Faria insisted he did not kill his wife. Betsy’s brutal murder set off a chain of events that would leave one man dead, another man implicated, and expose a diabolical scheme. It would also see Dateline NBC—the true-crime original—become a part of the never-ending saga that proves the old adage: Truth is stranger than fiction. This original series from Keith Morrison and Dateline defies all expectations.

What a Whirlwind of a Story

Love Keith Morrison narrating anything, but especially about this crazy story - not even just a story but an actual set of events that is unbelievably bizarre. The facts, recordings, analysis, and everything additional were all much appreciated and spot on. I loved that Morrison’s disbelief leaked through every once in a while - because it was just so relatable. Get ready for a real tale with this one!

Appalling, you can’t wait for the next one

I hope Dateline indulges in more podcasts as this one was excellent. As someone only superficially aware of the story, it made for riveting listening.

The Truth About Pam

Really well done and presented in such a manner as to have well separated the Episodes at just the right time leaving you hanging and craving the next Episode. I hope there’ll be another after #6 because they’ve left me guessing and hoping for more!
