The Three Aminos is a podcast for people who are tired of conflicting nutrition advice that seems too good to be true. Julian Whitford, MPH, RDN, Molly Haas MS, RD, and Lauren Rice, MPH, RDN are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists who met in their nutritional sciences graduate program at the University of Washington.
Twice a month, the trio will take on a current diet trend and discuss its merits and/or limitations using evidence-based science, experience, and a good dose of humor.
- Can eating like Tom Brady help you throw a football?
- Are eggs as bad for you as cigarettes?
- Is it possible to despise kale and still be healthy?
Let’s talk about it.
From paleo to veganism to juice cleanses, nothing is off limits. We want to provide our audience with the information with which to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

Very entertaining, will recommend
I recently started listening to this podcast and I can’t get enough of it. I love how conversational, light-hearted and fun they are to listen to while still being clear and informative. Some podcasts end up sounding like lectures and can get dull and boring but this one never does. Please make more episodes!

I like this podcast a lot—it’s casual and easy and a fun listen
First off I love the podcast name, it’s so fun! I’m a current dietitian in Maine and I’ve had a hard time finding a nutrition podcast that I enjoy. I love all the topics you are covering, especially the controversial topics that I feel like EVERY dietitian is asked. You guys are great and thank you for sharing all this great info! 😁🙌🏻
