S1, Ep7: Ema Burgic Bucko - The Problem With Playing It Safe

Today Tom is joined by former European Junior number 1, Ema Burgic Bucko

Ema has one of the most fascinating Tennis stories we’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. From conquering the European Tennis stage at the age of 16, to when she began struggling with injuries and the regret she has of playing it safe by going to college in America.

Ema is refreshingly honest and holds nothing back as she tells the story of how a huge build of stress and pressure, led to her suffering from depression.

Now Ema runs a successful business out in Florida and is inspiring more and more players to pick up a tennis racket.

It’s an inspiring chat that I really hope will push to pursue whatever it is you want to do, so please, enjoy!

You can contact Ema via her instagram @tenniswithema and as always if you would like to get in touch with me, email: tomhaslam@tomhaslamtennis.com or message me on Instagram @tomhaslamtennis

S1, Ep 2: Olivia Nicholls - Lessons learnt from time spent with Andy Murray

This week Tom was joined by old University team mate and now doubles world number 129, Olivia Nicholls.
Liv humbly tells the story of how she went to Uni with no intention of becoming a professional tennis player… Last week she reached her maiden WTA Doubles final event.
She speaks honestly about how there was more to life than tennis up until going to University and even recalls a time she went to watch her beloved Norwich City rather than play at an ITF Juniors event.
Liv has marched up the rankings in recent months and it’s absolutely no surprise to hear why, when you listen to her speak about her routine and the knowledge she soaked up whilst spending time with Andy Murray.
