On a side note. Laurens is a buffoon and shouldn’t be on, and certainly shouldn’t be allowed talk about France or PSG. Not a real journalist. Gallic apologist. PS Never, ever again allow Rafa Honigstein to go backpacking across Europe or whatever it was he did on his Guardiola sabbatical. Not the same without him. but for the love of all that is holy please please please dump Adrian Clarke who is simply an Arsenal booster. He is unlistenable.

Carl Anka is smarter than the rest of us, he’s smarter than everyone working at the top level of the game … he could literally do anything, but — Bless — he has decided to spend his life second-guessing the split-second decisions of 19-year-olds under an intensity of pressure he’ll never know. I mean, with his enormous intelligence, he could have reshaped the field of particle physics, but instead he writes books for 3 year olds and has Real Big Thoughts about Manchester United’s midfield. Hey, maybe we could put him and Duncan Alexander into the same pod and fire it into the sun? Then they could finally realize their destiny to be rocket scientists and we could all go back to enjoying football.
