90 episodes

Adventure in every episode.
Bob and Elliot (We) are two (self-proclaimed undeniably super funny and interesting) aspiring world travelers! Due to our recent decisions to settle down with our careers and families, we can no longer live the nomadic lifestyle we both still crave. The solution to satisfy our overwhelming wonderlust is this. Hosting a podcast where we sit down with a savvy traveler, globetrotter, conservationist, nature-lover, or any other type of travel enthusiast to peer into their inspiring lives. By listening to these fascinating individuals, we vicariously live through their experiences, and in turn share them with you.
You will hear the personal stories of extraordinary people who have “been there and done that”. Our guests share their unique wisdom and unpack valuable advice on how to plan your trip, what to do once you get there, and how to make sure you head back home (or not) with memories that will last a lifetime. Each episode’s discussion will range from discussing a particular location, to discussing a travel-oriented project or conservation effort, and everything in between.
Occasionally, we take a break from hosting guests, and you will get the opportunity to listen to us divulge our own travel ideas and travel experiences, or maybe just exchange our thoughts on travel methods. Although we have similar worldviews and travel ideologies, you will quickly learn that we also have some very different travel expectations.
Tune in each week, and discover something new about the world, the fascinating cultures buried within, and learn how to draft your own journey from those who have traveled before you!

    TTB 087: Active Travel Adventure

    TTB 087: Active Travel Adventure

Kit Parks combs the planet to find the best multi-day active travel experiences for fit folks like yourself. She shares her findings with you on her website, in her twice a month podcast (also called Active Travel Adventures). Kit is a 57 year old widow that discovered adventure travel AFTER she turned fifty. All of the adventures are something that she can do, and so can YOU if you are reasonably fit, especially if you do a little pre-trip training. The common denominator is that on all of these adventure vacations, you have to MOVE! You're going to have to hike, bike, paddle, horseback ride, or somehow self-propel yourself from one place to the next – sometimes in combination! Often these trips have a cultural component, such as a regional cooking class or wine tasting, or some other immersion with the locals.

Traveling vicariously through this podcast!

Really enjoyable easy listening (especially while quarantined to the house!). I haven’t personally travelled to many places but enjoy hearing the many experiences from these professional travelers. The variety of guests keep it interesting as they’re all very different in occupation, age, background, etc and offer unique perspectives with each new episode. Keep it up Travelers Blueprint!
