The Trial of Jesus – II // Death Lost // April 10, 2022 New Beginnings Community Church Norco

    • Christianity

Now we move to the fourth and sixth trials of Jesus. Both being before Pontius Pilate. In the first three trials the charge is Blaspheme but now the Jewish leaders take Jesus to Pilate with charges of treason against the Roman Empire. And why do they do this? Because only Rome has the authority to condemn a man to death. They want an innocent man dead. They will approach Pilate with loud yelling and screaming but zero evidence of the charges they bring. Pilate will bend under the pressure pronouncing sentence upon Jesus: Crucifixion.
