Today I am joined by Kelsey Pytlik and Rachel Bauer, Co-founders of Gild Collective, an organisation dedicated to changing individual views and behaviours that shift workplace cultures and break down gender barriers.
Kelsey has an internal drive to solve problems, whereas Rachel is often the first to point out if something is unfair or inequitable – making them the perfect team to drive the work that they do. Kelsey’s core as an empath, combined with her technical expertise in conducting user research and designing usable interfaces, allows her to develop powerful training experiences rooted in data, equity, and respect.
Meanwhile, Rachel’s background in student support for first generation and nontraditional students as well as designing diversity and inclusion curriculums gives her the unique blend of skills necessary to support individuals in their journey to becoming allies and champions of inclusion efforts.
Both Rachel and Kelsey are mothers who are passionate about elevating the invisible work that women do in the workplace and at home.
Today, on The HR L&D Podcast, Kelsey and Rachel dive deep into their experiences to demonstrate how HR professionals can create lasting gender equity transformations within their businesses.
Key highlights:
Challenges in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion change.Strategies for HR leaders to effectively promote gender equity initiatives.Common obstacles in achieving gender equity transformations. Methods for building collaboration and securing buy-in for such initiatives.Approaches to handle resistance to gender equity initiatives.Steps to ensure gender inclusion training programs are effective.Advice on fostering employee empathy and real change.
