[35:44] Bob’s take on kindness and happiness.
“Human nature is the most important thing for anyone to study because who do we deal with all our lives - other humans. So understanding human nature is just vitally important.”
“Authenticity should never be used as an excuse to stay where we are. It should be used as an impetus to get to where we want to be.”
“The law of receptivity says that the key to giving is to stay open to receiving.”
“Everything we do as human beings is designed to bring us closer to happiness. I define happiness a little differently. I believe that happiness is an ongoing feeling of joy and peace of mind, the result of living congruently with one’s value.”

    QUOTES
“Once I understood what the destination was, then mapping out the journey was a lot easier.”
“I am most excited about taking a blank sheet of paper and just doodling a company, what it’s going to look like if I build it, what it would look like when I would sell it. I’m a build and sell entrepreneur. I never really wanted to keep something for the rest of time or pass it on to my kids. I really like to build out. Period.”
“Many entrepreneurs open up their businesses and are good at sales but they go out of business in less than 5 years because they haven’t figured out how to make it run properly.”

    QUOTES
That question that you asked it’s almost the reason why I’ve written this book - to share a journey and hoping with the intention that other people will ask themselves that question if they have the courage, what would they do.
I always wanted to build my business to support my values, and one of my top values is freedom. So if i have the freedom to go home to switzerland and travel a lot without feeling trapped then that’s the right business to build.
Non-attachment is not that you can’t own anything but it’s that nothing owns you. You don’t want to be owned by stuff or emotions or certain outcomes. Especially now in times of uncertainty, if we can embrace more non-attachment to outcomes that we can’t control it’s a lot smoother to ride through this crazy roller coaster right now.
