How to Make Disciples Online
Understanding the 5 stages of the spiritual journey and creating a clear discipleship path is key to thriving in the new normal.
Tony and Amy dig into the keys to communication with outsiders and insiders, what platforms to use, and how to focus your church's messaging and next steps for each stage of the spiritual journey.
Best Practices for Church Boards
Church governance is a key difference between healthy, growing churches and churches that are stuck or declining.
There are also some common factors of stuckness in churches around complexity. The key issue around leadership is this: if the governance of your church is not healthy, then your leaders are not empowered to lead strong.
Tony Morgan and Sean Bublitz dive into specific best practices we see that commonly distinguish the governance model at healthy churches.
5 Key Roles of an Effective Church Board
Over the last 11 years working with churches, we’ve seen that church governance can either be a barrier to—or catalyst for—church health and growth. More often than not, church boards are dysfunctional and create complexity. But it doesn’t have to be that way. If you know what roles should be taken on by your church board and what roles need to be taken on by your church staff, decision making and leadership becomes much clearer.
How COVID-19 Changed What Your Team Needs from You as the Leader
Some things your team needs from their leader are different than what they needed before the pandemic began. Other things are the same—and more important than ever. How can you invest in the team’s health AND manage priorities and productivity in a stressful season? In this week's episode, Amy and fellow Unstuck teammate, Lance Witt, finish a two-part series on how church leaders can take care of themselves and their teams.
Lance Witt on Prioritizing Your Own Health While Leading Change, Facing Pressure & Dealing with Criticism
In a season that has been so leadership intensive, most of us have been delight deficient. Pastors are telling us they feel like they just can't make a right call. It doesn't matter which decision they're making—they've got people criticizing them from every angle.
It’s been an exhausting year, and it’s likely you’re running on reserves. We hope this episode helps you take a deep breath.
Nona Jones on Engaging People in Digital Spaces, and Jeff Brodie on the Digital Shift at Connexus Church
A really practical conversation—Nona Jones gives some memorable analogies that will shape your thinking well into the future, and Jeff Brodie walks you through how Connexus Church pivoted at the start of the pandemic, and specific examples of what they're doing that's working, where they've missed it, and how they are restructuring their whole team around digital for the long-haul.

I’m a church leader and this is a HUGE help
It’s a time when so many are leaving their church to go plant a new church. That’s hard work. But it’s a very hard and necessary work to help change an older church from the inside out. I’m getting some other from our team to subscribe to this podcast.
Good For Megachurches
Their suggestions work for large churches that don’t teach the truth. The ideas are all for a show and not worship. I wouldn’t take their advice for your church unless all you care about are butts in seats and not souls won for Christ.
The Unstuck Church Podcast takes the principles of church leadership and puts them into practical steps for getting and staying unstuck as a church. Tony has helped me find the clarity and strategy I have needed in leading our church forward. I highly recommend Tony Morgan to any pastor who wants to more effectively make disciples.
