Required listening for every planner and aspiring planner

This podcast is truly eye opening, especially as an aspiring urban planner finishing up his BA in urban studies. The planning school frustrations episode has been especially helpful for choosing classes for this next semester, taking a planning law course next semester. Insight into the real life responsibilities of a planner is not something you really get in college and I am unable to have an unpaid planning internship (which is all my municipality offers) so I am thankful for Gigi for keeping us in the know. Also, she eloquently discusses the racial inequalities within the profession, giving a valuable perspective to this field that is missing in a lot of planning offices. I cannot thank this podcast enough!

Music to a planner’s ears!

It’s nice and refreshing to hear a Planner talk about the REALITY of what we do on a daily basis and how the profession hasn’t really changed much to allow Planners to actually “plan” lol. Keep it up!!
