173: Songhoy Blues
Sama highlights one of the funnest desert blues bands putting out music today: Songhoy Blues.
From the back cover of their 2nd album Resistance (2017):
"Songhoy Blues has always been about resistance. We started the group during a civil war, in the face of a music ban, to create something positive out of adversity. As long as we have music left in us and something to say, we’ll keep fighting each day with music as our weapon, our songs as our resistance."

172: Some Hip-hop
I was looking through some mixes I put together twelve or so years ago and came across this, a (simple) mix of some hip-hop tracks I was feeling at the time. There's nothing special, nothing rare and nothing unique but there are some nice jams to relax to and catch a vibe.
For some reason, probably the current place hip-hop dwells in, these tracks sound incredibly fresh and novel. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it (12 years ago) and bringing it back now. -K -

Heavy Mevvy...
Always cool to listen to Keith BS about his lord and master...METAL!
Just listened to his latest episode featuring the burger joint... "Grill Em All"...a true gem for gorging on delicious burgers in a metal fan's visual paradise.
I'm looking forward to part 2 of his interview with the mad geniuses who run the place.

This podcast is a must for music lovers. Vinyl junky or not, the passion in this series is infectious.
So far, so good!
I like the passion behind the hosts. Its very enthuastic, fast-paced and clearly Keith and the crew know their stuff. I look forward to hearing more from these guys. Its great when a team can strike a chord and sound as dedicated and focused as TVE does. Keep it up and officially subscribed!
