A job in Private Equity isn't the highest paying or even the hardest to get... it's actually a job at high frequency trading firms like Jane Street, highly secretive Wall Street firms you've never heard of.  So what actually takes place in those interviews and what do those traders even do?

In Michael Lewis's new book, Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of Sam Bankman-Fried ("SBF"), Michael Lewis tells the absolutely crazy story of SBF,  crypto, building his crypto exchange FTX, building his own trading firm Alameda Research, Effective Altruism ("EA"), the scandal that took him down leaving him with up to a 110 prison sentence AS WELL AS a sneak peek into these super secretive firms starting from the interview process to some of the craziest trades ever, including one election trade in 2016 that led to a $300mm loss.

Best Finance Podcast out there for everyone

I found Wall Street Skinny through a random Tiktok video a couple of months ago, and I have been absolutely hooked on their amazing content, from their podcasts to their Tiktoks. They help make finance digestible and begin with layman’s terms and eventually I understand the concepts myself. Kristen and Jen are so much fun to listen to, and their podcasts filled with humor, banter, and great information never fails to make my day! As someone who is currently going through recruiting for various finance fields, Wall Street Skinny helps me understand how finance and the markets operate helps me operate at a high level – something that is often overlooked. As I listen to every new episode of Wall Street Skinny, a new topic clicks into my brain + my understanding of the private sector increases! I also never get bored of listening due to their humor and personality, which says a lot about a podcast dedicated to finance. Please never stop creating these amazing, digestible episodes!
