A great podcast!

I’m haven’t been all that interested in WWII history, it this podcast is changing that. I really like how they weave context and commentary with actual clips from interviews they have conducted. Great work!

Air to air rockets

During episode 52, B-17 pilot Harold Dunn mentioned having rockets fired at his plane from stand off distance by German planes. A host suggested he was referring to gunfire from the German plane and his “nomenclature” was inaccurate. Another host or guest suggested he was referring to ground based AAA. Dunn was correct about the German plane firing rockets. The Germans had the R4M/Orkan air to air rocket. The US had its own rockets for air to ground use.
