No direction

The acting and sound quality is top notch. The narrator is wonderful. But the writing is… meh.

Despite being about a “reality show with Washington descendants” we spend very little time on the show itself. There’s a setup, then about 50 subplots about a new President, a bombing, a rise in violence, attacks on the new President… and two subplots introduced in the last two episodes out of nowhere, despite being interesting.

And of course, nothing gets wrapped up. It’s like it was being written on the fly, and they just said “hey, let’s end the season!” Despite not wrapping anything up. It felt like a waste of time. Maybe season 2 will be better, but my advice might be to write it, THEN start recording episodes.

Great story and funny

I love the story and find it extremely humorous. That said, it has that curse of being a little too woke.
