A FAVE

I have followed Hanna for a few years and more, recently started following Zach on Instagram. I was super attracted to their way of living. I have lived such a fast paced life and I am certain now, at 23 years old, that maybe that life isn’t the life for me. I was so intrigued by their desire to slow down and be intentional. When I heard they had a podcast I listened and it was like we were sitting in the living room all chatting. Soooo relatable and so fun! I love that there isn’t toooooooo much structure. It feels real! I love that they are themselves. I love their honesty. I can’t wait to hear them evolve and change (v excited for more podcasts!)

Good one!

Easy to listen to, yet thought provoking and engaging! They can spur on ideas for your own life, and also give you some laughs. And, this will be cool for them to have in the future to remember what life was like in different times.

It’s alright!

The best way to review this I guess is too to do a pros and cons list because there’s some really awesome stuff about this podcast and some meh stuff:

Pros:

-they never make you feel like you need to buy something when listening. Quite the opposite actually.
-both Z & H seem really honest and open when there talking about subjects and do have a lot of wisdom to share on ‘real life’ problems. It’s nice to not listen to an influencer with a wildly different lifestyle giving me advice.
-if you follow them on insta, they it seems they do really practice what they preach and it’s refreshing that their updates aren’t all perfect. You get to be with them on the journey to get there.

Cons:

-the podcast is pretty niche in the sense that if you’re not a middle class, Christian, that likes the outdoors and tries to be different from other people, this may not be your thing (I am so I do really like it and find it relatable). Playing it at work or in the car with friends who have a little different lifestyles, they haven’t enjoyed it at all and I could see why.
-a lot of what they talk about is unattainable and comes from a place of privilege (making everything yourself, only buying ethical and sustainable clothing, investing in things that cost a lot of money) which I don’t think they realize since a lot of their perspectives present these choices as the only way to do something.
-the topics are super repetitive. Heavy on the goal setting, ethical clothing, minimalism with not a ton of new information to present.
