    8. Why you should charge well for your work

    When I first began working with clients I felt really awkward charging for my work and I even felt bad about the clients having to pay, I just wanted to give it all away for free. But over time as I saw the amazing transformation that would occur after I did sessions with people, I would often feel 'off' because I knew deep down that I should have been charging more. 

    Often, as part of the certification process when we learn a new modality, there is the requirement to work with other people to gain experience and confidence, which of course is great. 

    But it doesn't build confidence in the value of offering the service or transformation, so it can often feel hard to ask for money in exchange for offering the service. 

    When you don't ask for money you are giving with a closed fist and it means there isn't an equal energy exchange because the person receiving your service can't share anything with you in return.

    When they can't give something they value in return for the transformation you can support them with, they will often not value your service and it's unlikely they will experience the level of transformation that would otherwise be possible. 

    When people pay well for a service, they value it more and are more likely to embrace the transformation in their lives. 

    I really don't like hearing business coaches saying "Charge what you are worth" - because we are so valuable, we're priceless - so how can we put a number on that?!

    Instead consider: "Charge what the transformation you offer is worth" - When you tune into the value of what working with you is for someone, and even what it might cost them if they don't work with you - it's so much easier to name a price and feel confident in stating that price. 

    So if you know you are undercharging, or not charging at all, this is your invitation to feel into the value of the transformation that you can support people with, and also the cost in their lives if they don't work with you. This will help you build confidence in naming a price and creating an equal energy exchange for your beautiful work.

    7. Don't let doubt destroy your launch

    There's a sneaky little emotion that can rear it’s head when we go to launch our product or service into the world - it can be hard to recognise sometimes and it can appear out of nowhere and hold you back from moving forward if you are not careful…

    What am I talking about?

    It’s the experience of doubting yourself.

    Doubt can manifest in many forms - procrastination, avoidance, perfectionism and self criticism.

    It often pops in when you are stretching yourself and putting yourself out there in ways that you might not have before. Like writing a new sales page, creating ad copy, putting together your webinar or challenge - and when you try to do any of those things with doubt present, it will take five times as long and you’ll be fighting yourself to get it done.

    That doesn’t sound like much fun does it?

    So then, what can you do to get out of the battle of the doubt?

    Here’s a pathway that may help…

    1. Become aware of the doubt when it’s present - when you notice that it is there, you are creating separation and becoming the observer of it.

    2. Accept it for what it is and that it isn’t who you are anymore. The doubt is likely a way that your brain is trying to keep you safe based on how you interpreted past experiences. You can let your wonderful brain know that you don’t need the doubt anymore.

    3. Shift your state and align with your true self. Go for a walk, have a dance, soak up the sun, smell a rose. When you choose to nurture the strength and beauty that you truly are, you are claiming your power back and choosing a new energised way to move forward.

    Continue to bring attention to who you truly are - because what you give attention to grows!

    6. Do this to boost creativity & productivity... Save

    If you're a solopreneur, or even if you have a team - you are likely the one who drives the main ideas.

    If you are always running on empty it takes all of the fun out of it and it can bottleneck your ability to increase your income and take your business to the next level.

    But it’s easy to think that we need to spend more time working to get more done isn’t it - that’s how it works for machines, so shouldn’t the same equation be true for us? Well, as you know, we are not machines!!

    We are complex, magnificent beings - and we thrive on balance and nourishment that comes in many forms.

    When are the times you’ve come up with your most profound ideas?

    Is it when you are sitting in front of your computer, putting in long hours, or is it when you are in the shower, or out in the vege garden, or taking a walk in nature?

    My best ideas always seem to come to me in the shower - there is something about the combination of the relaxing warm water, the white noise of the shower and the time daydreaming that allows inspiration to rise up.

    When we try to force ideas, when we are so in our heads trying to ‘figure it out’, we are often in some element of stress mode, which limits our ability to see the big picture, instead our mind goes into survival mode and spending too long in this space leads to burnout.

    So scheduling time for rest is far from a waste of time - it is one of the best uses of time there is for creative entrepreneurs. In fact the more time you spend resting, the more productive you’ll be in a shorter amount of time when you do sit in front of your laptop to work.

    To get your inspiration & creativity flowing, explore what feels restful, nurturing and restorative to you... For some people it’s exercise like hiking, running, dancing or meditating - for others it’s painting, pottery or baking.

    Create a list of the things you love to do and schedule that into your work day. Also consider carrying around a little notebook, or have a dedicated page in your notes app for creative ideas so that you can capture them on the go.

    Enjoy your 'rest' time - your future self will thank you for it!

    5. Overcome Perfectionism In Your Online Business

    If you are creating a course or offering it can be easy to get into a space where you feel it all needs to be perfect before you can launch it into the world.

    It makes sense - you want it to be amazing and truly transformational for your clients - but if you are finding yourself needing to constantly add more, tweek and change things and you are always feeling like it’s just not quite ready - then it’s likely that you are heading down the road of perfectionism that will bottleneck your ability to create more impact and income with your offerings.

    This pattern of behaviour often comes from the underlying belief that “I’m not good enough”. It’s such a common one and it often comes from being judged in some way when we are young - and then taking that as a personal belief about who you are. But it’s just someone else's judgement - and not really anything to do with you.

    You are good enough and your gifts are what so many people need.

    There will be people who judge your work, but they are not your people! 

    There will also be the clients waiting for you to put that offer infront of them so that they can take you up on it!

    Once you recognise that you are transferring this belief into your business, it’s actually great because then you can do something about it and celebrate all that you have already achieved. 

    You have likely already overcome so many mindset hurdles to even decide to begin your business and don’t need to let this hold you back either. 

    You do have so much to share with the world - and there are people out there that can only experience transformation through the unique way you are able to connect with them and share the wisdom.

    It doesn’t need to be 100% perfect or feel complete. Results come from taking action. 

    Get it out there - as one of my mentors Rachel Rogers says: “launch it ugly”.

    You will be able to refine and change it once it is out in the market and you get real life feedback - it is part of developing a truly epic product that gets people talking and sharing it with their friends. 

    So say the mantra daily - I am good enough. Place it around your house to remind yourself often.

    The reason most online entrepreneurs get into business is to create more time and money freedom. But something interesting can happen where entrepreneurs find an area that they love to work in, people they love to work with and they end up working more than they would have if they were in a job.

    It can be easy to prioritise building your business for the future, so that you can have time and money freedom one day, but on the road to getting to that one day means lots of valuable family time missed, long hours overworking and sacrificing all of the things that drove you to decided to become your own boss in the first place. 

    Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?!

    The way to create the lifestyle you want through being your own boss is to begin living that life now and bringing as much into your day as possible. 

    Here's something to consider...


    You are your own boss, so are you being a good boss to yourself?
    If you were in a job would you like someone else treating you they way you are treating yourself?

    Maybe your answer is 'yes' and that's awesome, but if you are not sure or if your answer is no, then it's time to become aware of what kind of boss you want to be to yourself, and to your employees. We are usually so much tougher on ourselves than we are on others!

    When you are resting, recharging and prioritising yourself, you are much more likely to have the energy to show up as your best self in your business. You'll have more inspiration and be more creative and productive in your business.

    3. How To Get Over Refund Requests

    If you’ve put an offer out into the world and are making money from it, there will come a time in your journey when a client requests a refund from you. It might come along with a reason why, or not, but either way, it can be very easy to take it personally and see it as a direct insult to you personally or towards your offering (that you’ve poured your heart and soul into).

    It can bring up thoughts like: 


    Maybe my offer sucks, perhaps I need to change it
    I am not cut out for this kind of work
    I’m no good at this, maybe I should go back to my job.

    We can make it mean all sorts of things and take it really hard, but the truth is, when someone asks for a refund, or declines your offer, they are doing it from their own set of beliefs and sometimes in the personal development world taking a course that asks them to stretch either personally or financially is just too big a step out of their comfort zone. 

    The truth is that getting refund requests is all part of the entrepreneurial journey, so what if you could celebrate your first refund request as a milestone and a positive sign of the epic work you are doing, to put yourself out there, share your message and change the lives of others through your innate gifts. 

    The more refund requests you get, the more you’ll find ways to automate them, and you can eventually hand the task off to your VA, so it doesn't even need to go through you personally. 

    As long as you are getting lots more sales than refund requests and you’ve got lots of happy customers that are experiencing amazing results because of the work they’ve done with you, then you don’t need to give the refund requests any more attention, or make it mean anything more than knowing it is a natural part of the journey.
