Healing humanity & the world through unity and love
In today's solo episode of 'The Wellbeing Wanderer Podcast' Kat speaks on how the survival of humanity is being destroyed by fear, scarcity and division and that uniformity, love, compassion for each other and an understanding that everything is connected will be our saviour. Kat shares her thoughts on what has been presenting itself to her as important while spending a lot of time alone in England and taking stock of her life.
The love, acceptance and support she found in her Costa Rican community is unparalleled compared to her previous experience.
How deep down we are all looking to feel loved and understood and what we are unconsciously searching for.
That community doesn’t have to mean lots of people, sometimes just one person can make all the difference if they make you feel loved and understood.
How when there is a lack of love their is more fear and therefore more division, less unity and this is where humanity begins to break down and fall apart.
There is a shift happening in the world, where people are waking up and beginning to realise how connected we all are to each other and the planet and the way we currently operate requires changing as it’s not working.
What it’s like to experience ‘the oneness’, how everything clicks and you realise that when you hurt others you are hurting yourself and how nature has this figured out
How humans have free will and have the choice to respond with love, kindness and compassion instead of fear, hate and anger and how we can re-educate our children.
That we live on a planet together and that we are the ones who have split ourselves up into countries, created separation and segregation and that we have a greater chance of survival if we come together rather than divide.
Kat shares her vision of the new world and how she sees a world of inclusivity and educating children to be more unified and loving.
The more positive thoughts you have, the more you can lean into love, the better you are going to feel inside and the better everyone around you will feel.

Lauren Flack on: Releasing tension and stress with Somatic movement
On today's guest episode of 'The Wellbeing Wanderer Podcast' Kat chats to Lauren Flack a Somatic movement and voice coach who's here to spread the knowledge and techniques that she has found life changing since deciding to embrace the stress and tension she found building up in her body as a response to being out of balance with her life. If you are finding your body is not working for you, maybe you are experiencing chronic stiffness, aches, tension and stress and modern medication is not helping, then this episode is for you.

Lauren share's her backstory and the path of striving to be a performer and singer that led her to becoming a somatic movement coach.
How people hold onto tension but are unaware they are doing it and the damaging affects this has on the body as it tries to correct for it in other places causing imbalances.
The role emotions play in tension, how muscles only tense as a result of a chemical signal sent from the brain, how these are picked up from our environment and it's the body feeling under threat.
Lauren explains the myth of ageing posture - that when you get older you will be hunched over, stiff, in pain and with aches and how this is a fallacy.
How breathwork comes into somatic movement and tension release but understanding there is a right and a wrong way to breathe. Lauren explains the correct way to breathe.
The importance of the Diaphragm and how learning to engage it will properly helps you to breathe properly.

How to stretch properly in order to lengthen by contracting to extend further which is not commonly done.

Confronting your shadow self

To make friends with discomfort and understand facing it is how you grow and evolve.
If you are noticing patterns in your life especially emotional overreactions, that is an invitation to dig deeper around where they are coming from.
How as we are growing and evolving it's necessary to leave and let go of the old parts of us that don't match the newer version we're becoming.
