Warning: Anti trans affirming care
Have listened to your podcast for years and you have offered informative content to many in order to support the community on achieving better health. All people should be so supported in their health and wellness journey, and I have even recommended this podcast to others. I am deeply disappointed to hear your guest on the pod today talk about chestfeeding and describe why the term is used as related to those without breasts having sad feelings about not being able to breastfeed and so language is changing to not say breast. For someone who has an opinion on the term being used your guest is misinformed. While some trans women may wish they could chest feed and can’t, my understanding is that the term comes from trans men being a birthing parent and being able to chest feed their babies and getting affirmative care in the pre/birthing/post process. While trans folks may only be 1% your guests information and their transphobic (she went on to pontificate about trans folks in sports) messaging to your listeners is hateful & harmful. I’ll be unfollowing and letting folks know that you are giving the microphone to TERFs.
I just wanna know why her voice is so crusty sounding.
