Best rating system since "Two Thumbs Up"

Imagine Siskel and Ebert sit down for brunch and discuss this week's cinematic hot button. At the end of the meal, rather than flexing their thumbs in Romanesque judgement, they simply state which was better, the movie or the dish they've just eaten. In some cases this is fairly obvious (re: Batman v. Superman, a can of cat food is more digestible). In others (the hateful eight), it's a tough call. In any case, the conversation is thrilling and NPR-smart. Both Alex and Joe are fans of "cinema" and "movie" fanatics. (if you draw a distinction, they don't). Their reviews go far beyond the byline you might find in a newspaper, and get to the truth of expectation, history and most importantly, what you should drink to chase two to three hours in a dark room. I'll keep listening as long as they keep showing movies in theaters.
