Four high-achieving students redefine what it means to be successful beyond the books.

Traditionally, a wooden spoon is given to the person who comes last in a race. Instead of lingering on the failure of coming last, that same wooden spoon can be put to work and become something useful.

The Wooden Spoon is a podcast about success, but more importantly, what success really looks like after you finish school and take on the real world. It's no longer defined by a grade - it's about living a successful life that is unique to you.

The Wooden Spoon

Just finished every episode and let me just say...I AM OBSESSED! I loved every single episode so much! I’m so glad I’ve listened to this podcast! It has opened my eyes to so many topics that are very hard to discuss with others! Just listening to these four people talk about it helps me a lot. Especially learning about what they think of these topics and it helps me personally of seeing how others struggle in different ways. I love that they aren’t scared to take on these tough topics! I need more episodes...ASAP!

Great

Excellent cast, very well researched and organized, good for motivation and tips for overcoming university specific struggles. I really enjoy the dynamic between the hosts, they seem like genuine friends. I do wish they talked more about their specific paths of study, like maybe they could do a question and answer sesh with each other, or they could each have a segment once a cast where they divulge their favorite things. (I'm also a philosophy student/teacher, and it's such an esoteric field. Would like to hear more about Ruby's experiences, and Eve's law school stuff. Jade could easily give creative writing tips, and Jack's full of book reccs I imagine.) Four stars because there aren't enough episodes! I do hope that they are not finished casting, but taking a break through exams/summer.
