    Growing Together: Vision 2022

    Growing Together: Vision 2022

State of the Church | Rev. Mark Sorensen |

When God created the “heavens and the earth,” every living thing that was made was designed to grow. It is the natural order and cycle of life. But growth can be both physical and spiritual, and this is where the summons of Jesus comes to us, inviting us to become more like Him by choosing an intentional path that leads to life. When we cultivate our faith, love for each other and our neighbor, we discover the true meaning of life, and we discover more about ourselves. Join us as we accept Christ’s invitation to grow together, thereby fulfilling God’s great design that every living thing should have life in all of its abundance.

Welcome to worship at The Woodlands Methodist Church. I hope you feel God’s presence in this space and that you encounter the Holy Spirit through the traditional music, prayer and spoken word. Everything we do is rooted in the Good News of Jesus Christ. We strive to be the kind of church described in the Bible — a church that offers practical, meaningful teaching; a source of true friendships; and care for those in need. We’re glad you’re here!

Searching for Christmas: Searching for Light in the Midst of Darkness

Searching for Christmas: Searching for Light in the Midst of Darkness

Traditional Worship | Bishop Bob Hayes |

Our Christmas Eve worship services are some of the most cherished and beautiful gatherings in the life of our church. These services signal that we have reached our limits with the busyness of the season—the gift buying is over, our families are together, and we can finally focus on celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! This Christmas Eve, we go in search of the light that illumines our world and our lives, and our presence here tonight proclaims that no matter how dismal things may be, the light of Christ shines in the midst of our darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Searching for Christmas: Searching for the Promises

Searching for Christmas: Searching for the Promises

Traditional Worship | Dr. Ed Robb |

Have you ever thought about how much time we spend searching for things like our car keys, a special restaurant, or that hard-to-find ingredient for the next recipe? Little do we realize that on a deeper level, we are also searching for direction, happiness, comfort, peace and the answers to life’s problems. During this Advent season, we invite you to join us as we begin a journey that will help us find what we are looking for, and our search ends at a cradle in Bethlehem where our Savior Jesus Christ is born!
