2020 WEBBY AWARD HONOREE

In a post-apocalyptic world with no internet or electricity, five disparate factions vie for dominance in the city-state of Fiveboro. Each tribe worships at the altar of the bygone pop-culture references of an earlier time, and relishes the stories of film and television they've never actually seen. The Fansci Folk live in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy cosplay kingdom, the Escandalistas invoke the drama of the Telenovelas, The Criterione Collective praises the independent Art Film, the Snookis favor "reality" over fiction and the Hepburners prefer their stories told in black and white. When a powerful figure who calls himself The Cardinal invites the leaders of the factions to his Roost, the announcement he makes threatens to shake Fiveboro to its very core and upend the peaceful detente that has ruled the realm for over a decade.

Best podcast I’ve heard in a minute!!

Y’all. Y’all. I’m 4 eps in. It’s more than amazing. It’s perfection.

It’s like sci-fi and dystopian end of the world fiction and musicals and comedy had a REALLY talented and well produced baby. And it doesn’t seem on paper like any of it should work but all of it does and holy smokes is it fire!!!

Check it out!!!

Sooo good it makes me mad

Chip’s song in the 4th episode was amazing and the actor plays the character so well that I lowkey wanna punch him in the face haha. This show has something for everyone, loving it so far!!

Incredible talent on display

This is the most ambitious attempt at a podcast musical that I’ve ever listened to. Every song is ridiculously catchy and the group numbers have such a driving energy to them, it’s hard to believe that they were recorded in isolation. Everyone here is talented beyond measure and I hope many people get to listen to this show.
