Dr. Bryant, I have to admit- I’m not a huge podcast listener, but your show completely pulled me in! The title caught my eye, and with the work I’m currently doing with storytelling in mental and behavioral health, I knew I had to check it out. It felt incredibly relevant and timely.
Episode 4 was fantastic. You and Dr. Adela Cruz were phenomenal. The way you guided the conversation and the insights she shared were powerful and deeply impactful. Additionally, when she spoke about the importance of education at a young age, it really resonated with me. Through hard work and athletic scholarships, I was able to go to a four-year university and then continue on to earn my master’s degree by 22 years old- which allowed me to start my career at an early age. Without someone sparking a fire in me in 8th/9th grade as well, it wouldn’t have happened. Education can build confidence, open doors, and create opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. Continued education is something to be proud of and something we can all strive for.
The information you and your guests provide is invaluable. Without these conversations, many of us wouldn’t have access to the knowledge and expertise of people working in fields we may not be as familiar with. Thank you for amplifying these important voices and shedding light on topics that truly matter. Looking forward to hearing more and hopefully crossing paths again in the future!
