Cracking the code
This week, let's add a chapter to our history books because this episode of Thick & Thin is dedicated to Elizebeth Smith Friedman –– America's first female cryptanalyst. As a literal codebreaker, she busted drug smugglers and helped derail Nazi spies but never got the recognition she deserved.

A hidden masterpiece
In this episode of Thick & Thin, we take a moment to appreciate the arts with two different stories. The first tale, recalls a man's unexpected discovery of artwork once showcased at The MET. While the second, accounts for a couple's accidental collaboration with an exhibition painting on display.

Customer Reviews
Check yes Juliet 5 stars
I think this is my fav episode you have created so far! I’d love to see more like this in the future 🤍
Just started ….
Just started listening to this, and had to go back and look for more. She has a nice voice and I enjoy hearing her talk about her introspection and her thought/feeling process. She speaks and articulates her thoughts well and as if she’s had some professional training, though her job doesn’t suggest she would have. Not an “um” or “uh” or filler word to be found! 🤣
I wish I could rate some of the other reviews…..! People can be really rude or ignorant. For instance, confusing reflection with insecurity, or commenting on privileged white girls trying to be motivational speakers. Firstly, maybe she says it in an episode I haven’t listened to, but I don’t know that she’s white…? Secondly, what a gross mischaracterization of the podcast by someone who appears to not be self-aware.
That said, if you’re not into “diary” type podcasts (and this is not at all cringey like that word implies.. ;)) then this won’t be your cup of tea. But if you like having an authentic chat with a friend, then you’ll like it like I do.
I wait for these episodes every week!
Obsessed with this. It feels so easy and like I’m listening to a friend. I love the history stories, it’s really cool learning about everything she talks about. It’s almost like a mini audio docuseries plus some gal chat. It’s one of my favorite podcasts!
