Hi Everyone - welcome to Things You Pretend to Know About. It really should be called, "Things I Pretend to Know About" but that just isn't as catchy. I pretend to know about, well, mostly everything and I think a lot of people can relate to that. So I bring on people with certain life experience to teach me about how things /really/ are, so I can stop talking out of my a$$ all the time. I also think we can all benefit from actually listening to one another, instead of jumping down each other's throats. Because with listening comes learning and with learning comes growth...and we could all grow up a little in 2019. So, join me on my journey out of ignorance, with Things You Pretend to Know About.

Love this show!

Jumped in on the schizophrenia episode. It's extremely informitive and un to listen to. The light hearted discussion keeps it from getting dark and gloomy. It allows for truly learning and getting informed from the individual going through the struggle. Must listen!
I can't wait to see what different discussions come to be on this show!

Very uninformed hosts

Take a listen to the Trump supporter episode. They set women back about 50 years. I understand that preparing for that episode may have led them to some uncomfortable truths, but man... Nico dunked all over you broads. Kudos for at least still publishing it though. I feel like most liberals would have just deleted the whole episode.

Super stimulating !!!!

I’ve honestly come away from listening to these podcasts truly feeling like I learned so much about a new topic. Rae has such an eclectic and diverse range of voices and stories represented each week that appeals to any type of person. Her empathetic and curious questions always lead to stimulating discussions and she keeps a very open mind towards all themes which I appreciate. I’ve sent this to so many friends who are also now devoted listeners :) Favorite topics include mental health and doulas!!!! Looking forward to the upcoming seasons!
