    TOTLB 452 Werewolf by Night

    TOTLB 452 Werewolf by Night

The subject of today's episode came as a surprise release to most people, but ended up being a very fun surprise for everyone!! They labeled it a "special presentation" which we assumed just means that it's a "short" as opposed to being a full feature length film. We are talking about Marvel's Werewolf by Night!

"It is the first Marvel Studios Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and television series of the franchise. The special was produced by Marvel Studios, and follows a secret group of monster hunters as they compete for a powerful relic while going up against a dangerous monster."

This film clocks in at just a short 53 minutes. BUT, it does a lot of heavy lifting in that 53 minutes. We get introduced to a whole bunch of new people, including three major characters; Elsa Bloodstone, Jack Russell, & Man Thing. The introduction Man Thing, was especially surprising, and the waves were felt around the internet, in the form of some fun reviews. If you're a fan of this side of the Marvel universe in the comics, you definitely need to make sure that you make time to watch this film!

    TOTLB 451 Double Hellraiser

    TOTLB 451 Double Hellraiser

We're doing a double feature today!! We're talking about a current movie, wrapped into our pop culture classic!! If you're a horror fan, then this is the episode for you! We're talking about the newest Pinhead project, Hellraiser, and the original Pinhead Project, also aptly named, Hellraiser!

"Sexual deviant Frank (Sean Chapman) inadvertently opens a portal to hell when he tinkers with a box he bought while abroad. The act unleashes gruesome beings called Cenobites, who tear Frank's body apart. When Frank's brother (Andrew Robinson) and his wife, Julia (Clare Higgins), move into Frank's old house, they accidentally bring what is left of Frank back to life. Frank then convinces Julia, his one-time lover, to lure men back to the house so he can use their blood to reconstruct himself."

"A young woman must confront the sadistic, supernatural forces behind an enigmatic puzzle box responsible for her brother's disappearance."

Double Hellraiser for all you horror fans!! One of us is not a big Hellraiser fan but is ok watching because it's horror, and the other has seen all of them. If you haven't seen them, you should always, at least give it a chance. If not the original, the new ones look is definitely improved with the years, but when you say Pinhead, there is generally one distinct villain that comes to mind, so the original may be your thing. Go watch, and let us know what you think!

    TOTLB 450 Halloween Ends

    TOTLB 450 Halloween Ends

There was a lot of hype going into today's subject. I don't necessarily mean from us, but I mean hype around the movie in general. The reviews for the newest versions of Halloween seemed to be relatively positive, and this was the one that was going to bring it home! We're talking about the trilogy ending, Halloween Ends!

"Four years after her last encounter with masked killer Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living with her granddaughter and trying to finish her memoir. Myers hasn't been seen since, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life. However, when a young man stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that forces Laurie to confront the evil she can't control."

As always, we recommend that you go watch the movie, and form your own opinion. You may find that the titular villain isn't as present as you might like, in this final film. It almost feels like a Michael Myers adjacent movie, as apposed to a straight Michael Myers/Halloween movie! But, give a try and see what you think!

    TOTLB 449 Smile

    TOTLB 449 Smile

Our spooky sessions are almost at an end! Today's episode comes from a lower budget film that had some super cool promotions leading into its opening weekend! If you didn't see the media stunts during the MLB then you should do yourself a favor, and go check out the stunts! We are talking about the horror film, Smile!

"After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can't explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality."

What do you do when you're a doctor and the last patient that you examine, kills herself in front of you, after telling you that she's being haunted by some creature with a menacing smile? Now you're seeing random strangers with this giant smile on their faces, and you're inching closer and closer to your death day. Well, find out how you get cursed, and then move it on to the next person, that's what you do of course.

    TOTLB 448 Beetlejuice

    TOTLB 448 Beetlejuice

It's pop culture classic time everyone!! We're going back to 1988 to talk about our next topic, which is one year after I was born!! Somehow Doyle doesn't have the best and nicest things to say about this movie, but this movie is definitely well loved by the masses!! We're talking about Beetlejuice!!

"After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose "help" quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia."

It's baffling to me, as through my life I'm not sure that I've ever met anybody who doesn't like Beetlejuice, and then Doyle walked into my life! It's hard not to like this Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder film, and if you've made it this far in your life without watching it, you DEFINITELY need to stop and go find it! Doyle is wrong, and this is a fun movie!

    TOTLB 447 Evil S3

    TOTLB 447 Evil S3

Do you like the horror genre? How about horror when it comes to religion, exorcism's, and demons? Today we're talking about season three of such a show!! Evil, our topic for the day, has been such an entertaining series for the last few years! This season has been no different, and I think has been the best season so far!

"A skeptical forensic psychologist (Herbers) allies with a Catholic seminarian (Colter) and a technology contractor (Mandvi) to investigate purported supernatural incidents."

This season leaves off where the last season ended! A family in disarray is trying to stop the forces of evil from tearing them apart even further, and spreading to the rest of the world. While all of that is going on with Kristen's family, David is getting more and more used to being a formal Priest, and dealing with evil on a much deeper level! Ben and the team still go on assessments while they try and figure out why everything is happening to them, while Leland is doing his best to take over! This is such a good season, and this series is always worth the watch!
