Searching for Peace

Dr. Deb’s podcasts have helped me become mindful around food. She has helped me discern the emotions I’ve been “eating” and not feeling. As our emotions get stronger in menopause, it is very important that we take the time for ourselves to break the cycle of emotion eating. You’ve been helping so many other people for so long….it’s time to Do this for yourself! No guilt tripping! I promise! Just honest assessment of where you are today with real help providing the peace you crave.

Incredibly grateful for Dr.Deb’s knowledge

I found this podcast a few months back after ditching WW for the 3,000’s time. I am going through the early stage of menopause and I have had a very hard time losing weight. My mind was about obsessing about where and when I could get my next bag of white chocolate MM’s. My thoughts were all consuming and I knew that there had to be help for me out there somewhere. I have gone to therapy many times looking for help with obsessive thinking and binging on sweets, I wanted to know WHY I was doing this.
Thinner Peace has been helping me learn to real in my thoughts, choose what I say to myself and so much more. I loved the podcasts so much that I recently started working with Dr Deb privately. It is the best thing I have ever done in my life!

I feel free.....

What a HUGE difference these Podcasts have made in my life. Dr. Deb teaches us to question our thinking, to be an observer while listening to what our bodies are telling us. Learning the hunger scale and to always be kind to ourselves no matter what has happened with our eating.

What a concept. Eating when we are hungry and stopping when we are satisfied.

I’ve “gained” my power and control back. My thoughts are clearer than they’ve been in a long time. I no longer think compulsively about food. I am healthy and strong. I’m not lethargic or tired anymore. I’m learning to stay in touch with ALL of my thoughts and know that I can feel my emotions without “eating them”. Iv’e been practicing “joy” eats and staying in the “#2” range for true hunger.

I’m 60 years old. I started this journey listening to these Podcasts in January. I’m down 18 pounds, I’ve worked up to walking 5 miles at least 5 days a week listening faithfully to Dr. Deb. I’ve been working out in our pool and doing some strength training. I believe in myself again and am learning to continually be mindful.

Keep listening to Dr. Deb. Practice what she teaches, staying patient with yourself. Change your thinking. It REALLY does work. The techniques have branched out to all areas of my life.

Each morning while walking I have tears of joy running down my cheeks for the freedom I’ve been feeling for your kindness in sharing your insights. I am a totally different woman. I feel so free...
