Awesome!
Funny and entertaining. Great depth and discussion on contrast and auteurism style of film. Chemistry hon the shows is great. The breakdowns are entertaining from beginning to end! Intriguing and interesting! Looking forward to more!
Just isn’t my thing
I found an episode that was about a documentary I’ve enjoyed in the past and was hoping for an in depth conversation around the subject and it felt like the three people watched the doc once (and maybe were doing multiple things at the same time as they were watching it.)
It appears they watch documentary’s, but certainly aren’t aware of the body of work of documentarians. One comment really hit the point home in that one of the commenters asked if X figure would sit for a documentary like figure Y did. It was funny that none of them realized that the X figure had actually participated in a documentary by the same director almost a decade before!
This is probably good for people that want to hear takes about a documentary they’ve watched once or have thought about watching, but not for people that enjoy documentaries as a film genre.
