Three Things from Edmonton - Episode 57: fish, farewell, food Three Things from Edmonton

    • Mental Health

Hello and thanks for checking out this week’s podcast. 57 episodes ago I started the podcast out of equal parts fear and gratitude. I was afraid the stuff I was noticing was the stuff the powerful—algorithms or people—wanted me to notice. At the same time I sensed I was not living as if all of this was a gift, which is the best explanation for all of this that I have come across. So, I tried to notice the things and people in my life and be more thankful for them.  Not because there isn’t other junk to notice out there, but because some of my attention has to be saved for things like, this week:

Fish – the aquarium at a west end library plunged me into thought
Farewell - some parting words as a good friend leaves Facebook
Food - why we go to our go-to restaurant

Dig it: the music in the podcast is original. It’s from the brilliant Brendan McGrath. The end bells are courtesy Edmonton metal artist Slavo Cech.

Blog/words/pics here soon-ish.

I am at glenn.kubish@gmail.com

Peace.
