ThriveWorx’s Mike Mannina On Channeling Philanthropy Through Your Supply Chain Lead With We

    • Entrepreneurship

Have you ever wondered how to get all your stakeholders on board when it comes to building a business model that benefits everyone? ThriveWorx has figured it out. Joining us this week is Mike Mannina the Co-Founder and CEO of ThriveWorx, a non-profit platform empowering companies to turn their supply chains into forces of community transformation. Mike and I have a great discussion on why business is the most effective tool for community development, in addition to learning how purposefully channeling philanthropic dollars to the people in your supply chain actually reduces business risk by strengthening relationships.

Mike Mannina
As Co-Founder and CEO, Mike teamed with Thrive Farmers in 2015 to launch ThriveWorx, a metro Atlanta-based non-profit dedicated to disrupting poverty through market-driven collective action. ThriveWorx serves as a platform with a unique development formula that leverages corporate supply chains, local community leaders, and global best-in-class non-profits to empower sustainable international development in the world’s most marginalized communities. Prior to leading ThriveWorx, Mike served in various roles within the U.S. government. From 2012-2015, Mike served as the U.S. Treasury Attaché to Saudi Arabia at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, where he led the Treasury’s counter-terrorism finance mission, supported MENA regional economic development efforts, and G-20 global economic stability initiatives. From 2009-2012, he conducted three short-term tours in Afghanistan supporting the war and reconstruction efforts, focused on modernizing a nascent financial system. Mike also worked in the West Wing for the White House Homeland Security Council, and for the White House Counsel’s Office, U.S. Congress, and at a Washington, DC-based think tank.
