Most accurate thunder podcast

They will tell you what’s going on straight up and leave bias out of it, some people will be turned off bcs they give honest Analysis and most fans just want to hear nice things about there team and they will tell you how it is.

It’s Good, but could be Great!

I’ve listened to every episode this season, and as an avid Thunder fan who lives in the DMV, there aren’t too many quality Thunder podcasts to listen to for my favorite small market team. So thanks for giving those of us, who hear VERY little in the national media (unless it’s negative, contrived, or both) about OKC, something extra. First, I think that both Erik and Maddie are EXTREMELY knowledgeable about basketball in general, and deliver honest takes (or their honest opinions, or thoughts to the best of their knowledge) and analysis of the Thunder specifically. Additionally, I enjoy the potential of their developing chemistry/banter and even like the light dustings of B. Tramel in cameos.

That being said, there are glaring audio issues with almost every episode, as if no one prooflistens after/during recording/posting. This makes the listening either difficult, grating, or both.

Also, it is quite ironic that the show is called “Thunder Buddies,” considering that from the tone and topics discussed, you’d think the Thunder were 26-42 this season instead of 42-26, or that there is some harbored resentment toward the team. Definitely don’t want this to be a fan podcast in the sense of glazing over mistakes...but spending the majority of EVERY episode harping on most of the negatives/mistakes while only marginally acknowledging a few of the positives/triumphs also isn’t the method to deliver the balanced, realism-based pod I know you guys would like to provide those of us who listen.

The latest podcast is a prime example. Home win, 12-point margin over the Nets. Slow start and frankly trash 1Q, then improved but still not quite there 2Q. Crushingly defensive second half. Both superstars were 50% or better from the field AND from 3. Somehow the podcast turned into Erik venting about his frustrations with Westbrook (& the Thunder) and the negatives about his (their) play, while occasionally peppering in positives to him (and the team), which were then caveated with more negatives to start another frustration rant. This is the makeup of almost every episode, no matter whether the game was won or lost, well or poorly.

It seems as if this pod tends to be more pessimistic than realistic. Balance (also for the audio) is key, guys, and I shall continue to listen for it to be actualized. ✨👌🏽🐻

Quite amateurish

Especially the woman sounds totally unprepared...very sloppy presentation.
