Thursday Lectio: Galatians 6:1-2 We Wonder

    • Christianity

Today’s reading is from Paul’s letter to the Galatians, chapter 6, verses 1 and 2. As we listen, I wonder if God’s Spirit wants to teach me about gentleness today?

1 Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too. 2 Carry one another’s heavy loads. If you do, you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Loving God, you are the LORD who is tender and kind. You are gracious. You are slow to get angry. You are faithful, and full of love. You forgive those who do evil, and you came to live and die for those who have turned their backs on you. Fill us with your Spirit so that we, too, can walk in your ways of gentleness, grace, and love. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
