In this episode, Nadine and I discuss her onset of illness at the age of 10 from Immune thrombocytopenic purpura.
After recovering from that at age 13 she came down with a swollen thyroid gland and was diagnosed with Hashimotos
After lots of medication swapping to find the right one, she began to feel somewhat better
Later as a young adult, she had another onset of symptoms and asked to get a thorough check-up at the hospital
The battle of not being believed by her doctor, and having her sister have to step in at her doctor's appts finally got her added to a 6-month waitlist to see and ENDO.
The ENDO has found her positive for bacterial LYME and she's starting antibiotic treatment
