Fascinating world!
A fascinating exploration of an alien world
My comfort podcast
I have relistened to it more times than I can count and am deeply invested in the characters. As a botany undergrad interested in ecology, there really is nothing more interesting to me in a syfy than natural/ecological science in space!!! I love that Dr Euris sounds like a biologist, and I know that may seem like an obvious thing to say? But it’s just so striking to me that when she discusses the landscape and the organisms around her it sounds like my professors and my friends when we talk about these things here on earth. And I love how we see Fred dealing with the excitement of discovery being overlaid by the anxiety and loneliness of isolation. I just!!! I genuinely love this podcast so so so much and I could discuss every aspect but it would take too many paragraphs! I’d say this isn’t a podcast for everyone, the scientific language and focus of it may not appeal to everyone, but if you’re into biology, ecology, botany, marine biology, geology— if ecological science is your thing, you’ll probably really enjoy this podcast!!
