Comparing size, reach of Buckeyes massive fanbase to other B1G schools

After an offseason full of using his podcast to revisit with former players, break down and analyze Buckeyes history and talk about Name, Image and Likeness, the long-time Ohio State beat writer is back to focusing on another massive topic: Buckeye Nation and Buckeyes fans -- the largest fanbase in the country.

Tim welcomes Samford professor Darin White, the Executive Director for the Center for Sports Analytics. He recently did a study to show just how big fanbases are across college football, and he found that no fanbase tops the Buckeyes, especially in the Big Ten.

Buckeyes defensive end Jack Sawyer previews training camp, talks NIL opportunities

After an offseason full of using his podcast to revisit with former players, break down and analyze Buckeyes history and talk about Name, Image and Likeness, the long-time Ohio State beat writer is finally back to focusing on now: this season's Buckeyes.

Tim welcomes former five-star recruit and current Buckeyes sophomore defensive end Jack Sawyer on to the show to preview fall camp and talk about his excitement for the upcoming season.

Sawyer totaled 11 tackles and three sacks for the Buckeyes as a true freshman, and he is working toward a breakout in the new defensive system under new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Ohio State struggled last season on that side of the ball, and it is looking to rebound with the revamped scheme under Knowles. Sawyer has a chance to be a versatile, athletic weapon.

Urban Meyer, Tim May share stories of late William White

Urban Meyer, Tim May share stories of late William White

Tim May is back with a special edition of the Tim May Podcast to honor the life and career of former Ohio State defensive back William White, who died Thursday. White was just 56 years old.

White battled ALS for the last six years following his diagnosis in 2016.

White played safety for the Buckeyes from 1984-1988, where he became a fourth-round draft pick to the Detroit Lions in the 1988 NFL Draft. He played 11 seasons in the league, spending time with the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons. White played in Super Bowl XXXIII with the Falcons.

During his time with the Buckeyes, White was coached by a young assistant: Urban Meyer. That relationship blossomed into a friendship, and former Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer is here with Tim May to share stories of William White through his own lens.

How The Foundation, NIL Management are changing game for Buckeyes

How The Foundation, NIL Management are changing game for Buckeyes

On the latest edition of the Tim May Podcast, The Foundation founder Brian Schottenstein and NIL Management player representative Zach Beebe break down every angle of the NIL front.

Brian formed The Foundation to help Buckeyes players with a collective effort. Zach represents some of the biggest stars on the Ohio State football team. That makes this one of the most intriguing Tim May Podcast episodes yet.

Brian, Zach and Tim have a multi-layered conversation about how good Buckeyes football can be with the full backing of the city of Columbus and the Ohio State ecosystem behind the program. It's an interesting discussion.

What was The Foundation a part of the efforts to get a major deal to four key Buckeyes players? How has NIL Management and The Foundation worked together to make things happen for Ohio State? How much has the game changed, especially as Ohio State becomes a big player in the space of name, image and likeness? And what do each of them think is next for the space they work in? All of that is answered in the latest show. Oh, and Tim May made sure to ask him about what other deals might be on the horizon.

Cornelius Green recalls experience as Buckeyes quarterback, playing with Archie Griffin

Tim welcomes former Ohio State quarterback Cornelius Green onto the show to talk about his career at Ohio State, how he was able to be the quarterback while Archie Griffin was in the backfield and why the Buckeyes should have won at least one national title with Woody Hayes, Archie Griffin and Cornelius Green.

Cornelius and Tim have a multi-layered conversation about how good Buckeyes football was in the 1970s, life after football and the Buckeyes program moving forward. The stories told are cemented in Ohio State football history, and Green is there to tell many of them.

What was Cornelius Green's experience like as the first black quarterback to ever start for the Buckeyes? How has he been since his Buckeyes career ended long ago? How much has the game changed, especially as Ohio State becomes a pass-happy offensive juggernaut? And what does he think about the Buckeyes this offseason? All of that is answered in the latest show. Oh, and Tim May made sure to ask him about playing with Archie Griffin and being coached by Woody Hayes.

Evan and Tim have a multi-layered conversation about football, music, life and the state of the Buckeyes football program.

What has post-football life been like for the former Ohio State player? How has he transitioned into music -- and thrived in it? What is on the horizon for Evan Blankenship as his music career unfolds? And what does he think about the Buckeyes this offseason? All of that is answered in the latest show. Oh, and Tim May made sure to ask him for his thoughts on Big Ten expansion -- and he had Evan sing a verse of his new song.

Great Show

Tim does an excellent, a true journalist. The quality of the show has gone down a bit over the last couple of months. Tim needs a show where he can just talk because the guests can’t get a word in. He should do 2 - 30 minute shows - one to showcase his opinion snd knowledge, the other to conduct an interview. The Beau Bishop pod, if Beau spoke 5 of the 30 minutes I’d be shocked. Just needs some producing, not Spencer.

The show is still a great listen, full of energy, knowledge, op-rd and actual journalism but I digress!

Thanks for all the years covering the Buckeyes!
