Always very interesting and straight to the point

This is a very interesting podcast that has a tight run time and gets straight to the point.

There aren’t ten minutes of commercials before the actual episode starts. And there isn’t a smug, self satisfied host who isn’t funny and makes a lot of bad jokes. In a lot of other podcasts that claim to be academic, the long commercials before the start of the show and the lack of wit on an otherwise smart person can really obscure what should be an interesting show.

Here, you have a show that gets straight to the point, and a host who develops a thoughtful, interesting show on a variety of topics. I’ve learned a lot about history from listening and I look forward to learning more.

Always interesting

I often look at the guest and wonder if this particular podcast is going to be worthwhile. However, Michael's insightful questions and rapport with the guests always leaves me pleased that I listened. Highly recommended.
