    64.4 per cent of their day on unpaid care work compared with 36.1 per cent for men, and that the hours spent caring for adult family members has doubled for women over the past year.

    According to international data by the World Journal of Psychiatry, nearly 70% to 80% of the impaired elderly are cared for at home by their family members. There are varying estimates across different countries, but what is consistent is that female caregivers, who are wives, adult daughters
