Welcome aboard Too Many Captains, a movie podcast where a motley crew of 4 friends navigate the topic of cinema and related culture. Our flagship episodes are called Deep Dives where we dissect the various compositional elements of a classic or contemporary film and engage in a lively debate on its merits. Another long running episode is the Captains' Log where the panel covers recent entertainment stories and also give you recommendations based on what we have recently watched. Our most recent type of episode is called What's in the Box?!!! and it consists of 2 random mini-episodes that we put together for your listening enjoyment.

Don’t worry, we heard your feedback, please make it stop. We aren’t listening and dropped our first episode of Season 5. Poor Things, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, just won the top prize at the Venice Film Festival. The Captains wanted to talk about another film directed by the visionary director. With many great options Johnny Dangerous, who is prone to nose bleeds, decided on The Lobster (2008). Poor Things comes out in theaters on December 8, 2023.

These guys provide a fun perspective on films. It’s a good mix of experts and your everyday fans. Totally worth a download if you’re a film buff, or just like for ideas on something to watch.
Just Amazing
These guys are so much fun to listen to. From the Deep Dives to the Captain’s Log, every episode is well done and always good for a few laughs. My personal favorite is the “Another Round” episodes of the show, where we get very imaginary movies with some very real drinks passed around the table! TMC works so hard and you can hear their work paying off every episode. Great work guys!
