Tracy Kimzey: Don't Raise Kids, Raise Adults The Be Unbound Podcast

    • Self-Improvement

In our latest installement of the ongoing Extraordinary at Ordinary series, we talk with Tracy Kimzey about her approach to raising kids (or rather, raising adults!). Being a mom is the one job or profession you can do that you absolutely know will change the world. The hero moms we get to work with in Unbound are often behind the scenes, they're unnoticed, they're almost always underappreciated, and they're certainly not famous, and yet the work that they're doing is, by definition, always extraordinary, and it's always world changing.
Tracy shares how her approach to parenting and motherhood changed over the years. While she used to laugh at the idea of homeschooling and how weird it all seemed, she shares how God convicted her heart when her kids were young to be more empathetic to families who chose homsechooling. Tracy and her husband Trevor ended up embracing the idea, and now has homeschooled all of her 8 children. This is a great conversation not only about parenting, but also about listening, being present, and meeting the real needs of the people closest to you.
