In this show Ash & JW are joined by Gary “Buzzy” Busbridge. Buzzy has recently retired from Clipsal after an amazing 45-year career with the business finishing in the role of Standardisation Manager which has taken Buzz to all parts of the world and connected him with tens of thousands of Sparkys, Tradies, Wholesaler, Engineers & the broader electrical industry both within and external to Clipsal & Schneider Electric.
Buzz shares some insights to that 45-year journey reflecting on the past and sharing insights into the future. Buzz continues to be the Chairperson for the Wiring Rules chairing the ASNZS3000 Committee.
He reflects on the personal journey he had from the outset as a long-haired surfing Uni student, graduating as an Industrial designer, travel and then beginning with Gerard Industries in 1975 as a draftsman, then into managing the engineering design team for many years before finally moving into the standardisation manager’s role.
For those that know Buzzy, you will enjoy hearing his familiar voice and his stories. For those of you that have never met an industry legend, you are in for a real treat.
