  1. Shenandoah: Even Presidents Need a Good Getaway

Shenandoah: Even Presidents Need a Good Getaway

S11:E4 – On a map, Shenandoah looks like a small, basic national park. It’s basically one road along the ridge of mountains. That’s why Jamin and Hilarie were delighted by its breathtaking views – both from hilltops to inside the mountains themselves. From Old Rag Mountain to Camp Rapidan, this is the same wilderness where U.S. President Herbert Hoover and his wife came to rest and reset during his presidency. Beneath it all, there are (literally) countless miles of caves—the Endless Caverns—where the temperature consistently stays 55F and where Jamin and Hilarie met true darkness for the first time. Acadia: This Puppy-Approved Park Has It All (+ Bar Harbor) 🐾

S11:E3 – Being blown off course by a hurricane lead to some exciting adventures for Jamin and Hilarie and their dog, Maggie, as they experienced fall in New England. They eat “a medium amount of good pizza” in Scranton, PA before exploring all that Northampton, MA has to offer. Once the storm subsides, they are able to make their way to Maine and discover what all the fuss around Acadia National Park is all about. Maggie got to experience all the puppy-friendly trails, and Hilarie and Jamin did a thrill-seeking hike on the ladder trails. Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor also played their part in this adventure for the Travel FOMO crew, and Acadia became Jamin’s favorite national park. 3. Nashville: Tennessee Felt Like Home…And It Was! 🏡

    JUL 16

Nashville: Tennessee Felt Like Home…And It Was! 🏡

Have you ever been some place that felt like home…And then you found out that it kind of WAS? That’s what happened to Hilarie when they went to Tennessee. Without realizing it, she was sleeping a few miles away from a family cemetery where her ancestors were buried. It’s a new season (“East in the Airstream”) of the Travel FOMO podcast, and Jamin and Hilarie are hitting up new sights across the East Coast. From musical madness of Broadway in Nashville to the quiet solitude of Cedars of Lebanon State Park, Tennessee had a lot to offer the couple. Jamin’s lifelong interest in Johnny Cash took them to his namesake museum. And as part of a completely opposite experience, they stumbled across a life-size replica of the Parthenon – just like they saw in Athens, Greece a few months before.
