UPDATE: TREASURE HUNT REVEALED! Cavalry Audio has unveiled a real-life digital treasure hunt - the clues to which are hidden across the nine episode first season of X Marks The Spot. The prize for solving? $50,000. Make sure that you’re subscribed to the podcast and following all of Cavalry’s social accounts as to not miss any clues & hints along the way! What are you waiting for? Go find that treasure! The first and only podcast series that investigates the real life treasure hunt that captivated the globe. The podcast follows the incredible story of Forrest Fenn, a New Mexico art dealer who, in 2010, reportedly buried $2 million in gold somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. Fenn then published an autobiography that contained a six stanza poem that allegedly gave clues to the exact location to anyone clever enough and brave enough to figure it out. The hunt enticed hundreds of thousands of searchers from around the world, cost five unfortunate souls their lives, and spawned at least three lawsuits in the wake of the treasure’s discovery in June of 2020. The series contains never-before-heard interviews from people who were close with Fenn, treasure hunters who spent years in the chase, and even a few who claim to know where the treasure chest was buried.

Amazing Podcast

By far the best podcast I’ve come across concerning the Forrest Fenn Treasure or treasure hunts in general. I really hope they do another season with more updates and background. Would also be very interested if they did another podcast about a different treasure hunt. Very well done and interesting.
Ahh So Interesting!!!

When I was little I was totally invested in trying to solve this poem, and now it’s so cool to see where everything is at now. This was put together so well! Can’t wait for more!
Awesome series

Great listen. If you get to episode 9 - fast forward through the first 8 minutes of his COVID nonsense.
Had potential, but...

A story about a real-life treasure hunt?! Yes! And the first few episodes really delivered... But then, two whole episodes that were just nutty people ranting about their unfounded theories, imaginary interactions with Forest Fenn and the treasure’s Finder, lame and problematic excuses for why they “knew where the treasure was” but didn’t actually retrieve it... It was irritating and exhausting to listen to.. The podcast narrator really turned me off with a poetic (and lengthy) homage to Kobe Bryant, Australian bush fires, Tom Hanks getting Covid, then flippantly describes the public “watching a murder on tv” RE: George Floyd, then protesters devolving into “rioting, looting and violence.” Wow, miss the point, much? Then he draws the line between that murder and the “tragedy” of the treasure being found. Seriously? And the final episode is an ad for a new treasure hunt the podcast is orchestrating. Could’ve been intriguing, but they totally lost me.
