A Must For Genre Fans
Intelligent, fun discussion of various films with some sort of sci-fi bent. Unafraid to take positions outside of the conventional wisdom, or to look at things from surprisingly different perspectives. That they managed to find some new insights into something as ubiquitous and exhaustively examined as Star Wars is some achievement. I love it nearly as much as the "mothership" podcast, which you also ought to subscribe to.
Fantastic
Great criticism and commentary on films. Eric and Richard have a lot of fresh perspectives and, even if they disagree, they are exceptionally skilled at bouncing ideas off of one another. I cannot recommend it enough.
Trekkies on Star Wars (and perhaps other things in the future)
Great show. Interesting to hear two Trekkies (yes, Richard is one now) approach the Star Wars movies from a fresh perspective. (And if they generally end up thinking what a lot of Star Wars fans have thought before them...maybe we're not so different after all.) I'm probably more committed to their main Trekabout podcast but this was a nice change of pace.
