    Emptiness Interview: Vide

    Emptiness Interview: Vide

An interview with Belgium-based band Emptiness  regarding their new 2021 album Vide via Season Of Mist. Starting out as a more or less traditional blackened death metal band in the late 90's it wasn't until 2014's Nothing But The Whole that they really started turning heads with a sudden left turn in their sound; one that became only further apparent with 2017's appropriately titled and even more experimental Not For Music. Vide sees the band only veer further away from convention in favor of introspection and deconstruction. We discuss the album, writing for a core concept as opposed to a genre, and much more.

Rolling66 ,

Tell me what to listen to?

Found you guys on YouTube.
Awesome show! I’m a working stiff , 12 hour shifts with a 1 hour commute.
I don’t have time to discover all these bands. You do it for me and that’s quite a benefit to offer and consistently deliver!
Don’t stop. You are the voice of our heavy metal culture.
Thanks
Andrew, Kansas City

Chucklepadory ,

Awesome find!

This is the first metal podcast I’ve subscribed to. The bands and people interviewed (Charlie fell, imperial triumphant, the odious, warforged, etc.) are awesome and the podcast host is great especially in interviews it feels so casual and the questions aren’t generic.

Burgermeister Meisterbooger II ,

Underground Loud

Giving five stars just based on the bands interviewed and featured. Obviously not bands that frequently get interviews for podcasts, which is the point. A fan of the bands also helps with an interview that does not come across as question, answer; generic question, generic answer. Good stuff!!!!
